Prosjekt 67 is an art project with an arctic and northern perspective.

The 67th parallel north is a circle of latitude that is 67 degrees north of the Earth's equatorial plane, about 50 km north of the Arctic Circle. It crosses the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, Asia and North America.

Prosjekt 67 has a arctic or northern focus. Especially around 67 degrees north in the Arctic countries of Norway, Greenland, Sweden, Finland and Russia. These countries share much of the same history and challenges when it comes to environment, culture, development and society. Prosjekt 67 is a cross border project aiming to build a new and innovative collaboration between these arctic countries. 

In Bodø, Norway we constructed a mobile alternative art space 2020. With this we did different art projects in Bodø and its surroundings. This alternative art space was a rebuilt and special designed shipping container. By using this mobile art space, Prosjekt 67 main goals to present high quality art and projects in new and unexpected surroundings and contexts. Presenting artists and projects that address arctic, cultural, environmental, technological and other existential themes. Trough Prosjekt 67 we wish to focus and create dialog on important topics and challenges that the modern world faces today and in the future. Putting this into an arctic context.  

In 2023 Prosjekt 67 decided to make this mobile art space into a more permanent gallery. Two more container was attached making it into a bigger space. It was placed next to Beddingen Kulturhus in Molobyen. In an area with different alternative and independent actors where we are collaborating in making this into a new and vibrant area.

Prosjekt 67 will continue doing different projects and exhibitions in this new permanent gallery, and continue working on new ways to present high quality art in public spaces.
